Before coming to Da Lat, Brendan & Deborah took the time to share their journey with Olwen. These conversations not only helped us understand them more deeply, but also became the foundation for creating a photo story that truly reflects the emotions they are living in at this stage of their lives.

Brendan & Deborah have been together for eight years – growing up side by side, moving through years of studying and working, and most recently, beginning to build a home together. For them, this photo session was not tied to a specific occasion, but a way to preserve their youth – so that one day, they could look back and remember a time when they loved each other with sincerity, effort, and everyday care.

They were not looking for perfect or staged moments. What Brendan & Deborah wanted was something natural: simply being together in the way they know best, slowing down, and embracing the quiet sense of peace found in nature. Da Lat, with its cool air, still lake, and intimate, tranquil spaces, became the perfect setting for this story to unfold.

During the shoot, Olwen suggested a simple moment – Brendan & Deborah sitting by the lake, drawing small cards with questions about love. Not to perform for the camera, but to slow down, listen, and answer each other honestly.

Those simple answers opened up a very natural sense of understanding between them. No dramatic moments, no display – just a gentle, calm connection that reflects the way Brendan & Deborah choose to be with one another.

For Olwen, this photo series is about listening, about sincere love, and about the feeling of finding “home” – in the nature of Da Lat, and in the person you choose to walk beside.
