“Quan & Tri Engagement - Moments Rich in Chinese Culture”

Ho Chi Minh | Engagemen of Quan & Tri

For the first time, Olwen had the opportunity to capture the special moments of a traditional Chinese engagement – a ceremony rich in cultural heritage. This engagement was unlike other ceremonies, where there was a matchmaker – someone who not only guided but also played the role of the master of ceremonies, coordinating all activities between the groom’s and bride’s families.

The first impression was the gathering of both families, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. This was a ceremony where the groom’s parents did not attend the bride’s house, but there was meticulous preparation from the groom’s side, bringing everything needed to the bride’s house. The bride’s side, especially the mother of Quân, exhibited a sense of worry over the traditional rituals, a hallmark of Chinese culture, showing the love and respect within the family.

Olwen arrived, not only to capture the atmosphere but to feel the delicate beauty in each ritual, yet there was an undeniable, authentic connection to the preserved Chinese culture within the home – through every action, word, and thoughtful preparation.

Undoubtedly, this is a memorable moment, where love and culture beautifully intertwined, fully expressed in the engagement of Quân & Trí.
