Hoi An | Jo’s family | by Nguyen Nho Toan
Jo’s family session started very early in Hội An, when the streets were still quiet and the morning light had just begun to pass through the old town.
For Olwen, family photography should always feel comfortable and natural. Before the shoot, we usually spend time talking with the parents about how we work — less posing, more real interaction, almost like a family outing rather than a photoshoot.
Jo and her mother wore soft modern áo dài, while her father kept things simple with everyday clothing. Everything felt honest and true to who they are.
Jo was incredibly comfortable in front of the camera that morning. She ran around, laughed, played with her parents, and simply enjoyed being herself. Our job was only to quietly observe and capture those little moments as they naturally happened.
And maybe that’s what we love most about sessions like this — when everything feels just like real life.
