HaNoi | The Pre Wedding of Ngan & Bryan | by NNT

Ngân and Bryan are living in Hanoi, so when they decided to take their pre-wedding photos, they didn’t look for somewhere unfamiliar. Instead, they chose the city they already call home – a place that feels familiar, yet can always be seen again in a different way.

The photoshoot began very early in the morning. Instead of their usual run around West Lake, Olwen suggested visiting Hoan Kiem Lake just as the city was waking up. The streets were still quiet, and sunlight slipped through the trees, falling onto the road and creating patches of light like a small stage in the middle of the city. In that moment, Ngân and Bryan were simply themselves.

They both share a love for dancing, and it was through dancing that they first met. On a quiet Hanoi morning, they moved through a few familiar steps in the middle of the street. No loud music, no real stage – just natural movements between the two of them, something that has always been a normal part of their life together.

After wandering through a few streets and familiar corners of Hanoi, the shoot ended with a very ordinary moment: Bryan cooking dinner for Ngân. It’s something he does almost every day – a small routine, but one that brings him joy.

Olwen didn’t try to create a new story for them. We simply arranged a day that felt both familiar and a little new, allowing Ngân and Bryan to simply be themselves in these photographs. And sometimes, it is these simple moments that tell a love story most clearly.
