“Memories to Keep for the Next 10 Years”

Da Lat | The pre wedding of Valerie & Bryan | by Nguyen Nho Toan

Before the photoshoot, Olwen asked Valerie and Bryan: if they were to look back on their marriage 10 years from now, what memory from the present would they want to keep the most?

Bryan spoke about the freedom of time and space. Sharing meals, going grocery shopping, working out, having conversations, travelling, and having moments that belong only to the two of them.

Valerie spoke about always making each other a priority, even when children become part of their lives. The small daily gestures: saying good night, saying “I love you,” and still planning little dates for each other.

From their answers, Olwen understood that this was not just a pre-wedding photoshoot. It was a way for Valerie and Bryan to preserve the shape of their love in the present – before marriage, before life opens into new chapters.

The shoot was built around what truly feels like them: nature, quietness, shared meals, conversations, playful moments, and the simple feeling of being together without needing anything extraordinary to happen.

These photographs are memories to look back on years from now. A way for Valerie and Bryan to remember who they were at this moment. And someday, a way for their children to see how their love story began.
